Printed by letterpress at the Libanus Press and published by Hartley Moorhouse and Geir Moe Sorenson in Richmond, Surrey, in 1993. One of only 26 deluxe lettered copies (A–Z), each signed by Colin Dexter and the illustrator. This example is lettered M.

Of a total edition of 226 copies, the 26 lettered examples represent the finest issue, printed on Vélin Arches 200 gsm paper and including both the additional illustration and a facsimile page of the original holograph manuscript.

A fine copy in the original quarter cloth and patterned paper boards, clean and bright throughout. Exceptionally scarce — the rarest Dexter publication and the most desirable item for any serious Morse collector.
