Refund policy

We have a fourteen (14) day returns policy, which means you have fourteen (14) days after your order has been delivered to your chosen delivery address to request a return.

We cannot accept returns if the item has been delivered but has not been inspected within the fourteen (14) day period. Once an item has been safely delivered to the address you have specified, it is considered accepted and, after fourteen (14) days, is no longer eligible for return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition in which it was received.

To start a return, please contact us at oliver@baylissbooks.co.uk. Items returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted.

If, at your request, delivery is delayed, or you ask Bayliss Rare Books to retain an item for later collection or hand delivery at a time convenient to you, the fourteen (14) day return period will commence from the date of purchase, not the later collection or delivery date.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is damaged in any way.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. We cannot accept refunds if the item has been delivered but you haven't inspected it until after the 14 day window. Once an item has been safely received at the delivery location you have requested, the item is considered yours and after 14 days isn't eligible for a refund. 

If you have arranged to collect directly from me, at a time and a place convenience to you, please note, that if this is after 14 days, you will not be eligible for a refund. 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
