Maier was a talented street photographer whose work has gained international recognition in recent years after her work was discovered after her death. She worked for about 40 years as a nanny, mostly on Chicago's North Shore, while pursuing photography. It was only when her negatives were discovered in an estate sale and developed that her genius was discovered. The resulting documentary Finding Vivian only helped to cemete her reputation and she is one of the most sought after American post war photographers. This original print is a rare opportunity to own a piece of her legacy.
