The first edition of Last Bus to Woodstock, published by Macmillan in 1975, marking the debut of Chief Inspector Morse and the beginning of one of the most acclaimed detective series of the twentieth century. Signed by Colin Dexter on the title page.

A very good copy in the original publisher’s boards, with light wear to the extremities of the dust jacket. The pages are toned, as is usual with this title, owing to the poor-quality paper stock used by Macmillan in production.

A difficult title to find signed. The cornerstone of any serious crime fiction collection.
