Inscribed presentation copy of Colin Dexter’s debut, introducing Inspector Morse (1975).
First edition of Last Bus to Woodstock, published by Macmillan in 1975, signed and inscribed on the title page “To my dear old pal Ed, Colin Dexter 19.7.75.” Published only months earlier in May, this early dated inscription places the book squarely at the beginning of Dexter’s literary career and the birth of Inspector Morse.
A near fine to fine copy in the original boards, the dust jacket bright and sharp with only minimal signs of handling.
A superb association copy of Dexter’s first and most sought-after novel, and the cornerstone of any serious crime fiction collection.
