An early presentation copy of Dexter’s second Inspector Morse novel, inscribed to a friend and supporter.

First edition of Last Seen Wearing, published by Macmillan in 1976, signed and inscribed on the title page “Thank you for your support Ed! Colin 30.8.76.” A warm, early inscription dating from the year of publication, showing Dexter’s appreciation as his Morse series began to gain momentum.

A near fine copy in the publisher’s cloth with a bright, unclipped dust jacket showing only minor wear to the extremities. The text block lightly toned, as usual.

A scarce inscribed copy of Dexter’s second Morse mystery and an important early entry in one of crime fiction’s defining series.
