Delighted to share that Bayliss Rare Books was featured in a long article in The Telegraph sharing news of The Beckham Collection, ahead of the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Snippet below:

A United States flag from one of the first ships to cross the English Channel on D-Day has emerged from storage 80 years on.

The flag was flown from a minesweeper which cleared the way for the Allied invasion of France and is still marked with battle scars from gunfire.

It had been kept in Florida since the Second World War ended but is now up for sale to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Oliver Bayliss, a UK collector, is selling the flag as part of “the Beckham Collection”, named after William Beckham, who captained the minesweeper USS YMS-381 on June 6 1944.
