The Times, February 2024:
As the Rolling Stones prepare for their upcoming tour to promote the album Hackney Diamonds, an exhibition by Bayliss Rare Books and accompanying prints explore the pivotal moments that shaped the band.
The photographs, unseen for years and recently rediscovered in a south London loft, capture everything from Beggars Banquet to The Rock and Roll Circus and their infamous south of France exile. The British photographer Tony Sanchez had unprecedented access as assistant to Keith Richards — who called him Spanish Tony — offering a unique glimpse into life with the Stones.
The images will be on display and available to buy at J/M Gallery, Notting Hill, from February 29 to March 5.
