Murder on the Orient Express.

£8,000.00 GBP

The best example currently on the market of Agatha Christie's most famous whodunnit.

Murder on the Orient Express is one of the rarest Agatha Christie novels to find in first edition. The first print run was, unusually, incredibly small making it one of the most in demand firsts for any Christie collector. Most examples that come onto the market are indeed first editions, yet almost always second or third impressions which were published in quick succession after the first and, frankly, are not worth their time for the serious collector. Finding examples in any state above very good is almost impossible at this stage, the only other example currently offered by a dealer in the UK is missing half the spine!

First edition, first impression. Publishers origianl oriange cloth with black titles. light spotting, publisher's orange cloth, spine soiled, some uneven fading. A very good + example, the best currently on the market.
