First edition of The Silent World of Nicholas Quinn, published by Macmillan in 1977, signed by Colin Dexter on the title page. The third instalment in the Morse series, set within the Oxford Examination Syndicate, and the first of Dexter’s novels to be adapted for television.

A near fine copy in the original publisher’s cloth with a bright, unclipped dust jacket showing minimal wear. The pages clean with light toning to the edges, as often with Macmillan’s production.

A sharp signed copy of one of the key early Morse titles, scarce in this condition.
